Dear Shareholders, Customers and Friends,
As you will most likely be aware we’ve come out of our period of Welsh Assembly funding, and need to look to other resources to help us towards on-going financial sustainability.
The market garden had its best year of productivity last year and we want to build on that, and look towards some diversification of our operation in order to achieve that.
This year, in addition to producing more veg and salads for boxes, restaurants and markets we’re planning to start making a fabulous range of ‘added value’ products, such as soups, teas, dried fruit etc.
We need a new polytunnel to increase yield, an upgrade to the tractor and drainage works to improve the soil structure and workability – plus other bits and pieces – needing an investment of around £14,500.
We really need your help make this happen – and we have a fabulous range of ‘rewards” for those that make donations – large or small!
Follow this link, watch a great video about the market garden, and find out more: http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/riverside-market-garden
With climate change, increasing global food prices, environmental damage done by big agro-businesses, and an increasing lack of food security, this small-scale, organic, localised, low-tech approach to producing food is a delicious necessity if we want to have access to tasty and healthy food in the future.
In addition to a pledge of funds you can help enormously by sharing this mailing to people you know who may be interested.
THANK YOU!
