Founded by the Riverside Market People, Riverside Market Garden is a Community Supported Agriculture project – a community owned not for profit social enterprise piloting small scale organic food production on a beautiful 5-acre site in the Vale of Glamorgan – supplying to Cardiff and the local area. We had a great year in 2013, and right now we are selling shares to raise money for a new polytunnel so that we can expand and make fresh organic veggies available to even more people. The Market Garden is already supplying weekly boxes to over 70 families, as well as selling at Farmers’ Markets and delivering to restaurants including Chapter Arts Centre. Our shareholders are in effect the ‘owners’ of the enterprise, and receive a weekly update from the garden, and are invited to special events and work days – as well as getting a discount on a veg box. You, your family or friends can be a part of something really amazing!
Shares cost £50 (you can buy as many as you like) and we can send a special Christmas gift share certificate with every purchase if required. The discount is £2 a month – so you’ll recover the cost of your share in 2 years!
