Open Day this Sunday 16th July 11-2pm. Fab lunch on offer!

by admin on July 14, 2017

We’ve been busy making preparations for the Open Day 11-2pm – and very taken with the fantastic lunch dishes Simon the Herbivore is creating from the produce currently cropping – thought it might give you some inspiration for the upcoming week’s vegbag!

Also really looking forward to meeting some of the people who are just known to us as nametags on a vegbag (but you feel like family nonetheless!).

Simon is preparing – lettuce with elderflower vinaigrette, tabbouleh, pasta salad with grilled courgette, kale with roasted chickpeas and coconut, french beans with sesame and ginger, beetroot and fennel slaw, white bean and basil hummus, with Riverside Sourdough bread. Yum!

Coed Hills Rural Artspace is a lovely place to wander around, feel free to explore. Lunch will be hosted in their event barn, or bring a picnic. As you come into St Hilary from the A48 take the left fork to Coed, and follow signage.

Take the track into Coed Hills Rural Artspace, park alongside the track, and follow signs to field or food. At the field Scott will be doing informal tours and chats about veg growing, Debbie will be at the top of the field by the pop up veg shop, packing area and talking about the vegbag scheme. Our other directors – Richard, Andy and Simon will be either at the Coed Hills barn or generally about.

Any problems with directions call Debbie on 07889 846526.
